.ie (Irish) Domain Name Requirements
.ie domains operate in a different manner to .com domains.
.com domains are awarded on a first come first served basis whereas
.ie's are awarded by the IEDR once you have proven you are entitled
to the domain name you are applying for.
The documentation required depends on what type of a company/organisation
you are.
Please do not submit applications for domains that are geographical
(such as dublin.ie) as the IEDR will not award these domain names
(see http://www.domainregistry.ie
for further information).
It is not possible to unregister or cancel a domain name after
registration. If your application is unsuccessful, withdrawn by
you or lapses, your .ie registration fee will be refunded less an
administration charge of €35
